CASA BY THE SEA SOPHISTICATED COLLECTION OF OBJECTS FOR EVERYDAY LIVING

December 15, 2018 by Akiba Leave a Comment

Casa by the Sea is a unique home and garden lifestyle store and is a collection of all things owners, Michelle Truelaske and Beatriz Redo, appreciate while traveling throughout Mexico.  They also carry specialty items from around the world.  They are interested and passionate about design – past, present and future.  They are always in search of unique and exclusive objects, conversation pieces made for your home or business that are created by the very best manufactures, talented artisans and contemporary designers.

Beatriz and Michelle are very committed to promoting and preserving craft traditions through sustainable practices and fair trade.

They are working with foundations such as Fundación Origen – a pioneer institution at national and international levels in comprehensive care, dialogue and listening with women. They stand for  innovative methodologies that generate positive impacts and changes in social value in the comprehensive care of women who suffer violence, poverty or vulnerability.  Beatriz and Michelle also support Fundación Musgo which is a productive artisan project that seeks to raise the quality of life of the inhabitants of El Manzano in Valle de Bravo, State of Mexico and other surrounding communities, through training for work, education and fair trade.

Casa by the Sea represents many of the ideals, talents and interests that they enjoy and value in life.

Not only are Beatriz and Michelle keepers of cultural heritage, stylists and decorators, Beatriz is a florist and her love for flowers took her to Mexico City and Michoacán to find the best paper flower artisans in Mexico. The shop is dotted with these beautiful flowers that burst with color.

Casa by the Sea offers a diverse mix of merchandise: one of a kind tables, dishes, bowls in all shapes and sizes, vases, baskets and platters, books and magazines, along with a hand-picked selection of perfect bags, hats, jewelry and super cool reading glasses (tinted and untinted).  They have the most beautiful collection Mexican ceramics in Los Cabos and are always receiving new items.

There is an impressive green outdoor space with flowers, trees and a large parking area behind the shop that they plan to take advantage of this season with beautiful handmade terracotta pots and planters along with outdoor furniture and lighting.  They can have anything custom made for you and shipped to Casa by the Sea. They provide a range of services and design consultation to help you find whatever you need for your home or business.  They are  avid travelers working with many artisans and designers all over the world, but especially Mexico.

Beatriz and Michelle want your home to be your favorite place to spend time and enjoy friends and family.  They are masters at melding modern design with the finest authentic traditional artisans.

This delightful shop should be a destination for Los Cabos residents and visitors. There’s always something new to see at the downtown San Jose’ store in the historic Art District.  They just received a new shipment and tomorrow they are expecting even more. This week would be the perfect time to visit for that special Christmas or New Year’s gift.
